Spirit Air Information

If you cannot make your flight, please call the Spirit Airlines Reservation Center at 800-772-7117 (or en Español al 800-756-7117) as soon as possible prior to your flight's scheduled departure time. By doing so, you avoid the risk of forfeiting the value of your reservation.

Changes or cancellations may be made up to 24 hours prior to departure for $50 per customer plus any difference in airfare for the alternate requested dates(s) or flight(s). A travel voucher (or credit) is issued for future travel. When using a voucher, travel must be booked and completed within one (1) year from the booking date of the original reservation. Travel vouchers have no cash value. Additional airfare is charged for higher fares, and for non-refundable bookings there is also a $50 service fee per customer when rebooking. Cancellations can be made on www.spiritair.com, or by contacting Spirit Airlines Reservations 800-772-7117 (or for Spanish, 800-756-7117).

A service fee of $50 per customer is charged when modifying a non-refundable reservation, as well as any difference in air fare. Refundable reservations are not subject to a service fee, but the difference in air fare is charged at the time of modification. Reservations can be modified online, or by calling the Spirit Airlines Reservation Center 800-772-7117

For flights departing February 10, 2007 and beyond, for each ticketed passenger, Spirit Airlines will transport one (1) bag as checked baggage free of charge and a second bag for $10. Additional bags will be allowed and charged according to the excess bag fee schedule.

Maximum weight, without charge, for each piece of checked baggage is 50 pounds (23 kg) per bag. Maximum size, without charge, for each piece of checked baggage must not exceed 62" (158 cm) in overall dimensions (L+W+H). An extra charge applies for additional, overweight and/or oversized pieces.

Each ticketed customer is allowed one (1) carry-on at no charge, maximum weight 40 pounds, totaling no more than 22+13+10 (56cm + 33cm + 25cm), which is capable of being stowed under a passenger seat or in an approved overhead cabin compartment. In addition to carry-on luggage, a customer may carry a handbag, pocketbook, overcoat, wrap, umbrella, walking stick, camera, binoculars, reading material for the flight, or food for consumption en route.

For flights departing February 10, 2007 and beyond, excess baggage fees are $10 for the second bag and $100 per bag thereafter.
